STEUBENVILLE, OH— To better reflect its mission, the student business club at Franciscan University of Steubenville aimed at developing the Christian life in the world of business has changed its name to Christian Students in Free Enterprise (CSFE).

Dr. Thomas Kelly, business professor at ������ and CSFE faculty advisor, said that the new title “more accurately describes who we are and what we do. The world needs to be shown that placing Christ in the center of the community is the best way to improve that community and the lives of its citizens.”

The newly-named organization will carry out its mission—the promotion of the free enterprise system alongside Christian moral principles—through Project Bootstraps and other collaborations designed to help local businesses succeed, and with fundraising effort the AIM Pregnancy Center, the Urban Mission, and Just $1 for Africa Campaign.

Looking forward, Kelly hopes to reach out to Christian and Catholic student business clubs at other universities to form their own chapters of Christian Students in Free Enterprise.

Previously known as the Christian Association of Student Entrepreneurs, the student business club had at earlier points in its history been associated with Students in Free Enterprise and Enactus.
