Business Club Renamed to Better Reflect Mission Statement

STEUBENVILLE, OH鈥斅燭o better聽reflect its mission, the student business club at Franciscan聽University of聽Steubenville aimed at developing the Christian life in the world of business聽has changed its name聽to Christian Students in Free Enterprise (CSFE).

Dr.聽Thomas Kelly,聽business professor at 黑料社聽and CSFE faculty聽advisor, said that the new聽title “more accurately describes who we are and what聽we do. The world needs to be shown that placing Christ聽in the center of the聽community is the best way to improve that community and the lives of its聽citizens.”

The聽newly-named organization will carry out its mission鈥攖he promotion of the free聽enterprise system聽alongside Christian moral principles鈥攖hrough Project聽Bootstraps and other collaborations designed to help聽local businesses succeed,聽and with fundraising effort the AIM Pregnancy Center, the Urban Mission, and聽Just $1聽for Africa Campaign.

Looking聽forward, Kelly hopes to reach out to Christian and Catholic student business聽clubs at other聽universities to form their own chapters of Christian Students in聽Free Enterprise.

Previously聽known as the Christian Association of Student Entrepreneurs, the student聽business club had聽at earlier points in its history been associated with聽Students in Free Enterprise and Enactus.
