STEUBENVILLE, OH—������ of Steubenville will celebrate the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death with a rousing performance of the Bard’s comedy, Much Ado ������ Nothing.

Much Ado ������ Nothing is the tale of a loving young couple, Hero and Claudio, whose plans for marriage are foiled by the schemes of the prince’s jealous brother. The performance will be set in the present in a port town in Sicily, Italy, called Messina. The play is contemporary as it speaks to the concerns and experiences of the audience, especially the college student. Much Ado ������ Nothing is often called Shakespeare’s “most realistic comedy” and features delightful wit, romance, intrigue, song, and dance.

The play is directed by Dr. Monica Anderson, ������ drama professor and chair of the Fine Arts Department.

Performances of Much Ado ������ Nothing will be held on November 4, 5, 11, and 12, at 7:00 p.m., and November 6 and 13, at 2:00 p.m. in Anathan Theatre, Ground Floor, Egan Hall.

Tickets cost $4 for adults and $2 for students and seniors. Admission is free for clergy and religious, and children ages 12 and under. Tickets may be purchased at the door or reserved by calling 740-283-6245.
