STEUBENVILLE, OH 鈥 Spinning Jenny, a Family Fun Fest, and a fast and furious rugby game will bring a festive atmosphere to Steubenville’s Harding Stadium this upcoming Labor Day weekend.

黑料社 of Steubenville’s 11th Annual Robert D’Anniballe Rugby Ruckus will be held August 31 at 7:00 p.m. at Harding Stadium, pitting the 黑料社 Baron rugby squad against the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Crimson Hawks. The Baron team will feature many of Franciscan’s top players from last year’s 3 Rivers Rugby Conference Championship team, which finished the season ranked 9th in the nation.

This will be the Baron’s first game under new head coach Chris Courtnell, who takes over the program after five years as assistant coach.

Pre-game events start at 4:00 p.m. with a Family Fun Fest that will feature carnival games, food booths, many free activities, and a free concert by Ohio Valley’s own Spinning Jenny. The popular band from Mingo Junction will perform from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on a stage set up in the Harding Stadium parking lot, where the Family Fun Fest will be located. Spinning Jenny will play fan favorites and songs from their new CD, “Outside the Lines.”

General admission to the rugby game is $6 and $5 for students with valid ID, FUS alumni, youth 7-12, and senior citizens. Children under the age of 6 are admitted for free. During the game concessions will be sold, a 50/50 raffle will be held, and Baron von Steubie, the 黑料社 mascot, will lead the cheering for the home team.

All proceeds benefit the Baron rugby team. For more information about the Family Fun Fest, concert, or the rugby game, contact the 黑料社 Athletic Department at 740-283-6313 or visit
